Encompass is truly massive custom e-commerce site with over 8,000,000 items in their database and over 1,000,000 in stock items at any given moment. Due to their focus on simple OEM parts, they created unique challenges for our team.
We provided an interim leader to work alongside their CEO and CTO to develop an updated e-commerce strategy. We audited the existing approach and technology to look for opportunities while improving their custom built e-commerce platform.
A focus was placed on improving the customer experience including a strong focus on mobile. Over-time, we also helped re-develop the company brand which resulted in another sitewide update.
From a content perspective, we implemented a series of systems that pulled third-party data to enhance their listing and used Natural Language Process to smooth the final copy. Greater content depth was key to improving their rankings in search and improving the customer experience.
