BAGATIBA

Role: Website Design

GUIDING A NEW REDESIGN FOR A RETAIL CLIENT.

OVERVIEW

In 2012, Jessie Andrews created the “lavish yet affordable” Bagatiba line of jewelry, running the business from a desk in her apartment.  Andrews describes Bagatiba as “somewhere between Forever 21 and Cartier.”  Her challenge was to keep quantities small but still affordable, while minimizing overhead.  Chameleon was brought in to bring that vision to the web.

Designers at Chameleon Collective produced a clean, simple site that is easy to navigate.  The site is basically content-driven, and Bagatiba products are displayed lovingly with no frills, just as the product demands.

The Shopify platform, which now occupies almost a third of the ecommerce website share, was chosen for this project.  Custom backend development enables Jessie to easily manage her products and categories.

Chameleon has helped Jessie to become a self-made woman, whose vision is to “educate a younger demographic about sustainability and teach them that our luxuries shouldn’t be a strain on our environment.”
