Encompass is a truly massive custom e-commerce site with over 8,000,000 items in their database and over 1,000,000 in stock items at any given moment. Due to their focus on simple OEM parts, their products also suffer from notoriously poor content. We took a two-fold approach to improve their SEO and overall customer experience.
From a content perspective, we implemented a series of systems that pulled third-party data to enhance their listing and used Natural Language Process to smooth the final copy. Greater content depth was key to improving rankings.
From a technical POV, we Implemented AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) on Encompass custom e-commerce solution, as a recommendation to improve their SEO rankings on mobile search. Due to their existing platform, we had to create a custom solution that was integrated seamlessly into their platform. Once implemented we boosted natural traffic by over double digits.
We created breadcrumb copy for all tier 1 and tier 2 categories, resulting in an increased quality score on overall website content. In addition, we repaired multiple SEO issues like redirects, multiple domains, keyword strategy, H1, and title tag strategy to improve domain and subdomain rankings
