BUILDING A TOP-DOWN STRATEGY TO UNDERSTAND THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS AND BUILD SOLUTIONS TO REACH QUANTIFIABLE GOALS

OVERVIEW

Our team of business strategists and product managers began with a problem statement from our client. They felt that they were not moving forward quick enough and would be overtaken by an increasingly competitive marketplace. This problem statement was pulled apart and analyzed through workshops and stakeholder interviews to identify the true goals and key performance indicators of the business.

With a strategy designed and validated with the client, we analyzed pain points within each of the business units ranging from process inefficiencies to missing functionality in technical solutions. After creating a list of potential enhancements prioritization was performed to determine how the organization could move forward most effectively given a limited budget.

RESULTS

A roadmap was built based on the strategy and prioritization that included staffing considerations and business constraints. The roadmap was used to then fuel project charters for the various efforts to obtain funding and define specifics.
