Magnitude Software helps customers transform data into insight and insight into action. The company’s growth strategy includes strategic acquisitions of companies with their own visual identities. The enterprise software category is highly competitive and visually cluttered. Magnitude realized that their visual branding was fragmented so they turned to the Chameleon Collective to unify their visual identity system and ensure a design strategy for future acquisitions.
Magnitude’s primary objectives were to: (1) refine, expand & unify the brand’s visual identity elements, (2) establish a set of templates and visual identity guidelines and (3) deliver an initial set of brand assets.
Our brand team researched key existing assets, conducted stakeholder interviews and provided a custom brand assessment questionnaire. Based on key findings, we proposed a brand design strategy that clarified the identity of the master brand, subsidiaries and product/solutions. Next came the development of logo concepts, in isolation, in context and a strategy for how subsidiaries and products should be treated. Once a brand design concept was approved, we created the visual identity system and produced the final assets.
The work resulted in the request for additional brand design and a big funding round of $179 million investment from London-based private equity firm.
