Dave is a consumer products and services expert who has spent his 30 year career innovating new products, building businesses and leading teams at fortune 500 companies and category-leading technology startups. He is deeply experienced in identifying and vetting new opportunities and new markets, and has a proven track record building and leading diverse teams with 8 and 9 figure P&Ls. As a CPG-trained marketer and veteran of multiple startups, Dave is as comfortable rolling up his sleeves to write business plans and conduct hands-on analysis as he is leading executive and board-level strategy meetings.
Dave’s past roles include SVP & GM of Games at Viacom, CEO of social media startup We Heart It, founder/VP product of Rhapsody, CMO at Atom Entertainment and head of marketing roles at DoubleClick and CitySearch. He also spent several years in brand management at the consumer products giant, Cadbury Schweppes
As a consultant, Dave primarily focuses on go-to-market strategy and business innovation. He brings a strategic, analytically driven approach to every challenge he takes on and loves to “solving the puzzle” of unlocking growth. He brings particular expertise in content and media where he has scaled multiple online content businesses to reach tens of millions of users.
Dave has BA from Colgate University and is a regular guest lecturer and mentor in the entrepreneurship program at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
