After a long career in software sales and sales management at Oracle, Qlik and Salesforce, David applies that experience in revenue operations, building the systems and processes that support the C-suite of B2B SaaS and enterprise software companies. Most recently he was VP Revenue Operations for Outpost24, a VC-owned security software vendor that had grown rapidly through acquisition but struggled to meet targets: systems were not integrated, cost of sale was too high and marketing was at war with sales. In 12 months the team implemented a standard sales methodology, automated forecasting inside Salesforce, hired a BDR team, integrated lead tracking from HubSpot to Salesforce and built dashboards across sales, marketing and product; forecast accuracy improved 20%, lead conversion 23% and cost of sale fell 28%. At Salesforce he led a taskforce that cut around $45M of unexpected off-cycle attrition in EMEA, and at Oracle he built a 45-person telesales team that beat a $41M target. Operations is where the rubber meets the road, and it is remarkable how much traction is lost there: paper forecasting, no ideal customer profile, expensive account managers doing BDR work, churn indicators ignored and revenue measured differently by sales and finance. David fixes those systems so the growth plan can actually land.
