Jon's experience spans software, hardware, consumer electronics, energy, legal, retail, manufacturing, and supply chain. Over 20+ years at Fortune 500 companies and startups, including executive roles at Avery Dennison, Sony Corporation, Ticketmaster, Paul Hastings LLP, Sony Music, and Gateway, he has managed globally dispersed teams, held P&L responsibility, and run budgets over $75M. He is especially adept at the ideation, design, and implementation of scalable technology that maximizes engagement and enhances customer experience.
His honors include Los Angeles Business Journal's Enterprise CIO of the Year, an Innovation Award from the Financial Times, and Best eCommerce Experience from Modern Retail. He holds 18 US and world patents, and sits on the boards of Kronos Fusion Energy and the Joshua Tree National Park Association.
Transformation in practice: AMS
When Asset Marketing Services, the direct-to-consumer collectibles platform behind GovMint, found itself with 83% of revenue coming from telesales and aging, end-of-life systems, Jon stepped in as Interim CPO/CTO. He built a product management function from scratch, rebuilt and rebranded the ecommerce platform, implemented a CDP and Salesforce Marketing, Sales & Service Cloud, migrated the call centre to CCaaS, established AI & data governance, and drove $2M+ in cost savings, all while helping guide the company through its sale to a public entity. He then recruited a permanent CPO and transitioned to a fractional CTO role.

At RNL, the higher-education services leader, Jon served as Interim CTO | CISO during a major restructuring. He assessed the technology landscape, set a strategic digital roadmap, moved the company to a 100% remote model, consolidated CRM systems, migrated to CCaaS, and ensured PCI and TX-RAMP compliance. True to the Recruit model, he hired a full-time CTO, CISO, and Chief Data & AI Officer to succeed him.
