About Alta Pest Control

Alta Pest Control is a family-owned residential and commercial pest control service provider operating across 8 US states with over 20 locations. Founded in 2013 by brothers in Seattle, the company has grown to serve 20,000+ customers through recurring treatment programs for general pests, termites, mosquitoes, rodents, and specialty services like attic…

The Challenge

Alta Pest Control had grown fast—mostly through door-to-door sales, acquisitions, and bottom-funnel marketing. Operating in 17 major U.S. markets, leadership and their PE partners at Trivest wanted to 3x revenue and saw brand marketing as a possible lever. But with limited internal marketing expertise, they needed a partner to determine if brand could truly drive growth—or if it was a distraction.

Our Approach

We started with what Alta actually needed: a reality check. Our team embedded with theirs to run a full brand and marketing assessment—strategy, team, execution, CX, and performance. The result? Alta wasn’t ready for brand campaigns. The foundation wasn’t strong enough. We uncovered quick wins that could drive impact right away. We fixed broken mobile forms, reworked landing pages for clarity and conversion, recommended longer call center hours, and proposed an online scheduler to meet customer behavior. These fixes didn’t just clean house—they cleared the path. Alta’s leadership was skeptical of brand marketing, having “tried it before” with poor results. We unpacked why: scattered messaging, vague targeting, and campaigns too short to work. So we showed them hard data—case studies and attribution models proving how upper-funnel media boosts performance downstream. The shift was immediate. We didn’t just offer ideas; we rebuilt confidence.

The Impact

Alta quickly saw improvements across performance channels. Old partners were dropped, new ones added. With a stronger foundation, Alta postponed brand investment until it could test and scale intentionally. Now, they’re set to grow—on purpose, not on hope.
