We’re looking for a Volunteer Board Treasurer
Little Bear Sanctuary is seeking a Board Treasurer to join our mission-driven board and help steward the financial health of our sanctuary.
This is a volunteer role for someone who genuinely cares about animal welfare, ethical living, and sustainable nonprofit operations.
What this role looks like:
► Oversee financial reporting, budgets, and basic governance
► Partner with the board on financial strategy and transparency
► Support compliance, filings, and long-term sustainability
► Occasional in-person presence in Punta Gorda, FL
What we’re looking for:
► Experience in finance, accounting, or nonprofit governance
► Comfort working with small, values-driven organizations
► Strong integrity, follow-through, and collaborative mindset
► Alignment with a vegan lifestyle (this is core to our mission and non-negotiable)
This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their financial expertise for real impact, not prestige…someone who believes animals deserve advocacy at the governance level, too.
