Sonia Acosta is a highly strategic Creative Director with over 15 years of experience developing award-winning brand campaigns, immersive digital experiences, and emotionally resonant storytelling. Before relocating to Los Angeles, Sonia lived in San Francisco for a year and developed a strong connection to the Bay Area’s cultural and philanthropic landscape. Her work spans brand identity, UX, social campaigns, creative workshops, photo and film direction, and product launches, always with a focus on clarity, connection, and impact. Her portfolio includes campaigns that have sparked global conversations. For pH-D Feminine Health, she led the “Raise Your Vagina IQ” campaign, a bold, body-positive initiative that included a headline-grabbing Times Square billboard, a microsite, social activations, and influencer partnerships to dismantle taboos and raise awareness about feminine health education. She also played a key creative role in Kia’s global FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign, connecting players and fans across cultures through social content and stadium technology. Sonia is deeply committed to civic engagement. During the 2020 election, she helped launch PracticeSafeVoting.org, a pro bono digital tool that simplified mail-in voting across more than 4,000 jurisdictions. Her work with ByHeart, an infant formula startup, helped launch Cluster, a digital platform fostering inclusive parenting communities through design and storytelling. Sonia’s collaborative leadership and cultural fluency make her a trusted creative partner across clients, agencies, and production teams. A passionate museum-goer, she is currently on a mission to visit every museum in Los Angeles. She brings curiosity and creative rigor to every project.
