Verishop, a startup backed by Lightspeed and led by Snapchat’s former Chief Strategy Officer, Imran Khan, was scheduled to launch in June 2019. With the clock ticking, they needed to swiftly build a high-performance merchandising team that was not only accustomed to operating in a multi-brand environment but was also highly entrepreneurial and analytical.


Imran entrusted Chameleon Collective with the pivotal task, recognizing our industry experience and ability to understand the company’s precise talent requirements quickly. We embarked on a targeted recruitment drive, focusing on acquiring talent that met Verishop’s unique specifications. Within a short timeframe, we successfully placed the first two crucial hires: the Director of Apparel and the Lead Buyer for Home. Their high-quality performance led to another critical task: hiring a Creative Director for the company. Utilizing our efficient recruitment process, we identified and onboarded a suitable candidate for the Creative Director position in less than three weeks, further reinforcing Verishop’s leadership team in preparation for the launch.


Our recruitment drive greatly aided Verishop in swiftly building a proficient leadership merchandising team, including a Creative Director, setting a strong foundation for their successful launch in June 2019. With a capable leadership team in place, Verishop was well-equipped to navigate the competitive and fast-paced startup landscape.
