About Art Van Furniture

com operates as a digital content and commerce platform focused on interior design inspiration and art sales. The company appears to be a lightweight online entity (Art Website, LLC) positioned in the home decor and art marketplace, offering everything from traditional Van Gogh prints to NFT art, with a strong editorial content strategy targeting DIY home…

The Challenge

Art Van is a billion-dollar regional omni-channel furniture and mattress retailer with six decades of history in the Midwest. After private equity firm TH Lee acquired the company, Art Van entered a period of transition and needed to stabilize and improve a substantial annual marketing budget with a fresh media strategy.

Our Approach

Chameleon Collective stepped in as interim leadership to bring stability and clarity to Art Van's marketing. We evaluated and replaced existing agency and vendor relationships, finding more cost-effective options that freed up budget. We made the media spend data-driven and targeted, reallocating the mix for better results at lower cost. A 'store-first' strategy pointed ad dollars at measurable footfall. To make the gains last, we recruited and mentored an in-house media team.

The Impact

Within six months, our work saved Art Van millions in unnecessary agency and ad expense and built a strong in-house media team. The engagement gave Art Van the strategic framework and hands-on leadership to improve every part of its media operation.
