Rob Gotlieb is a marketer of music, live entertainment and fan ecosystems, with two decades building and monetising audiences across digital platforms, live events and licensed IP.
He led marketing at pioneering subscription platforms MP3.com, Napster and Rdio, driving growth via performance marketing, partnerships, and activations at festivals including Glastonbury and Download.
More recently, Rob led growth and monetisation of the Harry Potter Fan Club’s 24M-strong global ecosystem, owning the revenue P&L across subscriptions, merchandise and events. He built lifecycle CRM programmes — segmentation, retention and winback — following migration of the Pottermore database, and produced 2M app installs via the Harry Potter mobile app.
For CogX Festival, two interim engagements grew ticket revenue 5x within 10 business days across London and LA editions. Rob also produced a live stream for Ringo Starr’s band at Muzu.tv and launched mobile apps for The Rolling Stones and Rufus Wainwright at Disciple Media.
At Vistage, Rob co-authored a CLEAR strategic assessment that defined the path to growth, then was retained as the sole Chameleon Collective operator to activate across the brand’s digital channels — pairing diligence-style diagnosis across a $200M membership operation.
