The Challenge
SCN, a leading US manufacturer and seller of gummies, wanted to build a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand. The main challenge was constructing the team from scratch, starting with a Head of eCommerce and Digital Marketing, a role that required proven experience scaling teams and a well-rounded background in eCommerce and growth marketing.
Our Approach
Chameleon Collective mapped the US DTC landscape. Because the role was remote, we targeted candidates with a strong background in eCommerce and growth marketing and proven experience scaling teams. The search also drew from similar categories like energy drinks and nutrition. We developed a scoring system to compare and rate candidates, which produced a shortlist of three finalists.
The Impact
The approach worked, resulting in the appointment of a highly qualified Head of Growth who is now building an in-house team. The first key addition is a Customer Engagement Manager with strong social media experience. This leadership is set to drive SCN's DTC brand forward, and Chameleon Collective continues to support the effort.
