About SVP Worldwide

SVP Worldwide is the world's largest consumer sewing machine company, accounting for approximately one out of every three sewing machines sold globally. The company operates through three iconic premium brands—SINGER (since 1851), HUSQVARNA VIKING (since 1872), and PFAFF (150+ year heritage)—and was acquired by private equity firm Platinum Equity in 2021.

The Challenge

SVP stood on the brink of a transformative leap. It wanted to grow its direct-to-consumer business, but worried about two things: shaking its big-box retail alliances and unsettling its grassroots partners, the mom-and-pop shops it valued.

Our Approach

Chameleon Collective took charge, leading SVP's eCommerce on a fractional basis for nearly 24 months through a multifaceted overhaul. To grow across all parts of the business, we rejuvenated online assets, promoted content sharing, especially reviews, and brought compelling brand narratives to the digital space. The keystone of the strategy was a brand-agnostic stance for SVP. Beyond that shift, we introduced and integrated a modern ecommerce system to replace the company's restrictive home-grown platform, with scalability at its heart.

The Impact

The impact was significant. We doubled conversion rates and sharply increased email sign-ups, reflecting an overall lift in engagement and business traction. By elevating one segment, we made sure every part of SVP's complex business ecosystem benefited, a true case of a rising tide lifting all boats.
