As a digital leader and one of the first interactive media strategists, Sean brings a veteran’s perspective to personal media, mobility and digitized social interaction. He has successfully navigated major media evolutions and created sustainable growth for clients, agencies and publishers, carving a unique path for brands and marketers by maintaining a people-focused approach to advertising. This experience has armed him with a proven ability to sense and capture new opportunities, as demonstrated by my founding a series of independent companies focused on guiding media companies through the art of better story-telling, go to market strategies and greater awareness in the digital space.

Sean has held digital leadership roles at major agency and media owner organizations, including true[X], where he spearheaded the company’s strategy, sales and marketing. As CEO of IPG’s Geomentum, he led the company’s hyper-local platform efforts by engineering a full-service agency model to enable top retail brand advertisers to operate from a national to neighborhood level approach.

Prior to IPG, he served as President and Chief Digital Officer at Starcom MediaVest Group, where he was responsible for developing digital strategy, digital communications products, proprietary tools and technology applications. Before joining IPG, Sean directed a worldwide video advertising network as Chief Marketing Officer of Vibrant Media, and was Chief Executive Officer of OMG Digital, part of Omnicom Media Group, where he led the global management team and developed functional services in digital investment, search, mobile, gaming, futures, analytics and ad operations.

Sean is also a Guest Lecturer at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as well as a co-founder and board member of the Tom Deierlein Foundation (tdfoundation.org), an organization dedicated to helping provide U.S. Military families and children with their most basic living needs.
